FlatWear in the News

When you tell our story, you support our mission.

Our mission at FlatWear is two fold—to support flat closure by designing stylish, well-fitting clothes that honor and respect the choice to live flat, and to promote flat as a healthy, valid option after a mastectomy.

More than 60,000 women in the U.S. go flat every year — yet most people have never even heard of flat closure.

Tell flat stories to help ensure women get all the facts.

In an evening of visual story telling at the Strand Theater in Rockland, FlatWear founders Becky & Tracy talk about flat closure, why it matters, and how fashion can help the flat community. The PechaKucha format is a unique presentation style where eight individuals share their work, ideas, and creative process with a 20-second-per-image, 20-image slideshow. Each of the evening’s presenters will provide a six minute and 40 second glimpse into their craft. As PechaKucha International frames it, these gatherings are a place to “Share your passion, tell your story, find your people.”
