Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha is a Japanese word meaning chit chat. A Pecha Kucha Night is an opportunity to share a unique experience with your community - a bit like a TedTalk meets story telling. The PechaKucha 20x20 presentation format is a slide show of 20 images, each auto-advancing after 20 seconds. It’s non-stop and you've got 400 seconds to tell your story, with visuals guiding the way.

This October, along with 7 other presenters, we spoke to a packed Strand Theater in Rockland, Maine about going flat. We are so grateful to have been selected to present, and owe a huge thanks to the women who volunteered their images for educational purposes, and to those that sent them to us directly. Our segment of the evening’s presentations is below. You can’t quite hear the theater reactions in the recording - but the story and images really impacted the audience.
